„Spanish Desk“

The “Spanish Business Group” or „Spanish Desk“ of ILP Global Mertens Thiele, supplies clients, – either Spanish, Latin-American or German – with a highly qualified legal advice for their businesses and investments, both in Germany and Central Europe as well as in Spain and Latin America.

Nothing can replace local knowledge on legal matters and for this reason our group combines experience with hands-on knowledge and the understanding of corporate culture, both in Spain and in Germany as well as in Latin America.

The “Spanish Desk” is headed by Mr. Rechtsanwalt and Abogado Markus Thiele, who is entitled to act both as a lawyer in Germany and at the same time as a Spanish lawyer (Abogado) in Spain, working at the same time in Madrid and Cologne. Mr. Thiele has extended consultancy experience supporting Spanish and Latin American clients in  German-speaking countries (Germany, Austria, Switzerland) and German clients in Spain and Latin America. At the same time, he is heading the “German Desk” at our Spanish Partner Firm ILP Abogados, with offices in Madrid, Barcelona, Valencia, Sevilla and Oviedo, basically the Spanish counterpart of our “Spanish Desk”. Besides, he is relying on the support of our partners in the frame of the ILP Global network, seated in the main countries of Latin America, with whom a very long and successful cooperation has been in place for over a decade now.
